Culinary Arts (CTE Certified)

New Dawn Charter Schools proudly offers a CTE-certified Culinary Arts pathway, providing students with industry-aligned training and real-world experience in the fast-growing hospitality field.

Through hands-on instruction and internship placements in professional kitchens, catering businesses, and hospitality settings, students develop essential skills such as:

Internship Week

Eligible students complete up to 20 hours per week at approved internship sites across NYC, including Brooklyn and Queens. This structured rotation connects classroom learning to workplace application.

Who Qualifies for Internships?

Students may participate once they:

Earn 11+ credits
Demonstrate academic progress
Complete workplace readiness training
Show respect, responsibility, and resilience.

Our internship director carefully prepares each student before placement.
